Where schools are offering the Certificate III in Business in Year 12, industry considers it highly desirable that within a two year program the Certificate III be delivered as a part of a comprehensive program with the Certificate II in Business, which allows for commencement of Certificate III units in the last term of Year 11. This is considered important for students to be able to have an adequate volume of learning, given the shorter duration of Year 12. Similarly schools are encouraged to choose elective units in the Certificate II that articulate clearly into the Certificate III to further strengthen the link between the two qualifications. Schools should discuss this with their RTO.
