VET admission Body Applications
Schools who have chosen become a VET Admission Body so that they can access the Unique Student Identifier (USI) Registry System to apply for USIs on behalf of students and verify USIs provided, may be experiencing some delay in their applications being approved.
The Authority has received notice recently that the USI Office is still working through a backlog of applications for VET Admission Body status and should be processed within the next few weeks.

If your school is interested in becoming a VAB to help with the process of applying for and verifying a USI on behalf of their students, the application process and form is available from the USI website.

USI Troubleshooting tips
The WA Department of Training and Workforce development have been providing the USI Office with regular feedback from schools and RTOs in relation to issues with the USI. In response the USI Office has released a new information sheet about the USI that addresses Common Issues and Troubleshooting Tips for both RTOs and students which is available here.
